József Váradi, Ceo di Wizz Air, in occasione della presentazione del nuovo training center all’aeroporto di Roma Fiumicino ha dichiarato a Il Giornale d’Italia:
"This training center is a fantastic facility that we are very proud of. Thanks to our collaboration with Roma, I believe they’ve done an excellent job. I sold this building about a year ago, and it was nearly in ruins. They completely refurbished it and transformed it into a modern, upscale facility, which is perfect for the purposes of a training center. We’re very happy with the result.
This center is also in a prime location, and I think it highlights the importance of Italy and the significance of this airport for us at Wizz Air. For me, this airport is the hub of our Italian operations. Half of our based fleet is located here, while the other half operates out of different airports. We’ve been extremely satisfied with our operations here, as well as with our commercial success and the engagement with Italian consumers.
On this basis, we felt that the time was right to make further investments in the country. This is also an investment in the future because we believe Italy will offer us significant growth opportunities. Within this context, the airport will serve as one of the most important pillars for delivering growth in Italy."
Are you investing in new technologies to improve the passenger experience?
"Just looking at the technology behind us in this training center, it’s clear that this is state-of-the-art. This is the latest technology for simulators. If you consider our aircraft, we are operating some of the best planes in the world today. For instance, the A321neo is widely regarded as the most technologically advanced aircraft, particularly in terms of environmental performance, with the lowest emissions.
Economically, this aircraft also delivers the lowest seat costs, thanks to its highly efficient design and operation. Innovation is at the core of our business. We’re a very innovative airline, continually introducing advancements in all areas, whether it's in simulators or aircraft.
Moreover, we strive to enhance the consumer experience by digitizing it, ensuring that people find our company accessible and remain highly engaged with us through cutting-edge technology and systems."
